Lucky Ole Brad

Postby vicksburg » Fri Jan 16, 2009 8:33 am

Just got word from ole lucky (Brad Russell) that he layed the hammer to another fine one. Main frame 7 with kicker off right G2. 26 inch Main Beams and 18 inch Spread. Grunted him up from 70 yards and shot him at 15 yards.

thanks quinn, sorry about the poor pic but i was by myself and just took one with my phone. This deer ended up doing exactly what the last the last buck i killed did except i shot him at 15yds instead of 5yds. When i first caught a glimps of him he was headed away from me at 70 or so yds and i grunted at him a few times and he finally heard me and stopped. I made one more loud short grunt and he turned around and walked straight in. He did give me a somewhat better shot angle than the last one but as you can see it still ended up entering the top of his shoulder. After the shot he ran straight under me and piled up 50yds behind my stand. This was around 4 30 wed afternoon and i ended up seeing 7 other bucks before dark that day. Killed in southwest ms.

II actually killed it out of one of yalls metal lean to's that was left behind. I just went there to do some looking. You can imagine how I stuck out like a sore thumb 15 ft up one of those bald ass sycamores. He never once looked up. My mossy oak must have made Me disappear!!
