3. Teul is colorblind. (cant tell a greenhead from a hen)

4. So am I

5.CajunSquealer wears sunglasses all the time, even on cloudy days or indoors..

1. Always check the boat gas
2. Charge the boat battery EVERY night
3. DO NOT go by weather.com or Accuweather.com (they suck)
4. Hunt the day of the big front, not just the day after
5. Do not expect Sportsmans Warehouse to have shells after Xmas
6. Shoot ducks DEAD!
7. Birds always come in while you are in the dekes, or retrieving cripples
8. There is always going to be a hole in the crotch of your waders no matter how new they are
9. do not wait for one more pass. take the FREAKIN shot
10. CouldaWouldaShoulda needs to be in the dictionary.

1. Always check the boat gas YOURSELF!
2. Don't wait on Butla to call the shot, its usually to late and birds are raining!
3. Always call the bird you are going to shoot ( "I got the greenhead on the right!")
4. Let em light if they want to! Its better than any pass shoot!
5. Always bring a paddle, resort to number 1 for clarification.

Forgot these 2. Learn this on the last hunt of the season.

19. The $180 Drake jacket only looks cool...it is not water proof.
20. Natural Gear cammo is in and Max-4 is so yesterday.
Surely the longer a man duck hunts the wealthier he becomes in experience,in reminiscence,in love of nature,if he goes out with the harvest of a quiet eye, free from the plague of himself

3 Cups of coffee on the way to the stand usually results in a wader shedding experience about 7:30.

Cotton clothes will work in a pinch after the wader shedding experience.

Doing the Stevie Wonder at 'em...

Get the big Nanner Root...

Of all the times my Beretta found a time to fail me Sunday morning (the magazine would not allow me to load my two add'l shells) so I am shooting a single-shot shotgun and here it is...18 mallards coming at 8:00am (we always refer to it as the 8 o'clock flight) and ready to light - I am having to be real patient and pick the perfect shot. Again, a single-shot right...and just as I am ready to throw-down on Mr. Greenhead, it all lines-up and I kill two with one shot. :)

That was my last shot of the season.

1. 3-6 decoys is usually enough
2. Ducks usually always have their mind made up no matter what you do
3. swamp stools are worth their weight in gold if you dont hunt out of a blind 95% of the time (I didn't learn this till we finally all got one the last week of the season)
work hard, play hard

1. Somebody will always be in a better spot than you

2. It doesn't matter if you've done everything right, if you aren't where the ducks want to be it doesn't matter

3. All waders leak

1. Trees always win the battles with moving boats.
2. Camp NETTING would catch on silk sheets. That stuff is AWFUL. Trying to spread that stuff over the boat is very aggravating at 615 AM
3. ALWAYS bring TP or wear long socks, 2 pair just in case.
4. A big Abe and chili cheese fries isn't the best choice for dinner the night before a public, alarm going off at 345 hunt.
5. Never take your girlfriend, she just doesn't understand.
6. Mallards would rather drown than be shot at a 5th or 6th time when their life is on the line.
7. Trailer lights are basically trash bolted on a piece of metal. They never work.
8. If multiple singles won't light in your dekes early, pack up and head home cause it ain't happening that day.

Don't put a guy thats 5' 6" shooting a short barrell 870 in the middle of the blind.

If you're un-sure where ducks are landing, wait till daylight to set up/ same applies if things might be frozen up..........

It's amazing the number of people who think they can call ducks....but really suck at it.

Have at least three pairs of waders.......buy a Peets wader dryer now.

I don't care how many birds are using a hole......go with people you enjoy hunting with.
One guy can ruin a hunt and a club.

Chasing a wounded mallard across a rice field because I left the blind with only one shell.

1. When running down a small river with lots of snags always remember to charge an extra Qbeam.
2. After running down said river and jumping logs every morning for 3 weeks straight always remember to check the ground wire and Rivets in your throttle handle on your Mudbuddy.
3. If the engine quits running a mile and a half from the boat ramp, get out and start pulling, but turn the key every 15-30 seconds just to make sure.
4. When the first group of mallards break the trees and it is still dark, call the shot early before you lose them in the dark wooded backdrop.
5. When you cut into a group at first light and you send your dog on 3 straight retrieves and he brings back 3 hens.....laugh hysterically......then wait for it to get light and look around for other dead birds.
6. If you cut into a flock at first light when it is dark, you will always kill more than you think you did, again wait for light and scope out the hole.
7. Buckets full of rocks sunk to the bottom of a deep hole do NOT make good jerk string anchors.
8. If you kill em one day by yourself, dont invite Josh (H2oFowl) or Bart (OleMsVA) to tag along the next day, the ducks will not be there.
9. NEVER, NEVER hook up with a girl from small town Arkansas, they are all very firtile!!!!!!
10. When you take new guys hunting in the woods always run the boat close to brush on their side of the boat, watching them take a branch to the face is incredibly hysterical. (especially if they are running a video camera filming themselves.)
11. Do not try and put a boat in the water when there is an inch and a half of ice on top of said water, it simply can not be done, and everyone will get into a bad mood.
12. Always lock the truck in 4wd low when backing down a crappy AGFC gravel ramp, it makes the climb out much less nerve racking.

13. Always take the time to carefully explain to your friends from Illinois why you dont pile your 4 limits of mallards on the front of the boat, when you are running back to the ramp from a secret hole way down river.
