Ahhh - The smilin mallard. We'll shoot the heck out of them. They make good jerky. Just a pic from the 09 bootlip beatdown. Buddy threw a wrench with the two gaddy's and pintail!

They are pretty good in a crockpot with Hoover Sauce and veggies, then dumped over rice or Rice-a Roni. And you can bring me all your ruddy ducks, I'll throw 'em in the crockpot with the grinnin' mallards. They generally have nearly the exact same diet as a bluewing teal. And if every duck was as easy to unzip as a spoonie, I'd volunteer to clean 'em every time and let somebody else do the clean-up!

Shovelors I ate in S. La were undistiguishable at the table from the other ducks we ate.

...but I don't shoot them around home.

The dog don't know the difference and they fly just as good out a winger.

Maybe they will over-populate and we'll need a conservation order to thin'em out.

I can see an article about Avery® Pro-Staffers in a future DU magazine right now........ 'Spoonie-Tunes'® (Insert the original Warner Brothers' 'Looney Tunes'® jingle, here).........."Yeah, we set-out 3000® of our own(personally-owned) new GHG® 'semi-poluted'® Shoveler Magnums®.....just to see how effective these decoys are..... (translated: to see if we could start a new category in Guiness' Book of Over-Marketing® World Records)....... and killed 113 flocks with 15 gunners using Black Cloud® ammo and Black Cloud® custom chokes. You can, too"
