That is right. The chef used to live out west and supposedly cook for the stars -- who knows. I have heard the food is quite good though. I doubt the restaurant is money making venture for those two -- probably a tax write-off.

I agree. It probably is a write off. The Chef is Randall Andrews. He did go out west and cook for some of the "stars". Sanders is Davis' wife's sister's husband

I don't think it is true. I heard he was still cooking on delta. that pretty much limits it to rust, madidsi's or Delta amusement, and I am pretty sure he ain't there  Anything is possible though.

Of the three, I think Delta amusement has the best food. :D

Small giftshop on old main street in Drew makes a great open face roast beef with peppers, mushrooms, onions, and gravy. Name escapes me at the moment. Good stuff!

Mainstreet Deli in Drew.. Stafford Shurden owns it.. You are referring to the Judge Bubba roast beef sandwich.. everything on their menu is good

Caller1... i thought Vera's was the place that served fresh fish as in fresh buffalo, fresh carp, fresh gar.. etc etc..

Crawdad's is nothing like it was before the fire...

I hate to see all the negatives on Crawdads, used to be a damn good place to eat and the atmosphere was even better. I worked there for almost 4 years of my college at DSU. Guess after Clay Autonberry and Warren stepped out, this place just went down.

Lusco's in Greenwood
Fermo's, Tabb's B-B-Q,& Jim's Cafe-- all in Greenville.

Jim's Cafe has the best homemade onion rings I have ever eaten, he makes his own hotsauce and sells it by the 5th in old whiskey bottles--$7 a 5th. My fridge is NEVER without a bottle of it.
