Advice Needed.

I am interested in getting into hunt tests and don't have any idea where to start: If I should go to a few hunt tests first or try to find some type of class to attend. I have a 1 1/2 female black lab that in my opinion is unbelievable. She comes from awesome blood line from both sides of her parents. I hunted her this year and she did great and made over 200 retrieves. She is my first lab to train. I believe that she is "that dog" I will own only one of. I do not want to see such a dog not reach her full potential. I do not want to send her off for school. I have developed a close bond with this dog that I never thought I would have with a dog and do not want to send her off. If any would like to give me advice on what I need to do would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you located? We should be able to put you in touch with a club near you, so you can hit some training days and get tuned in for running some tests!

training days would be the best start, It will give you the chance to see dogs at different levels and you will meet alot of folks that will help you. Training days are more laid back than the hunt test and the people will work with ande show you the ins and outs.

If you are serious, go to the SF training day. Ragon is a great guy and will help you get there. There will be some good folks who can give you great advice.
