Birdsong T-coat
Anyone have any pics of guns that have been t-coated by Walter Birdsong. I have a rifle and a shotgun I am thinking of having done. Also any likes or dislikes about it and what does it cost?
Thanks

I do not have any pictures, but I do have two firearms done by Walter. I am sending my Benelli to him in a couple weeks. Hell of a guy, hell of a service and a hell of a price. I highly recommend...
Re: Birdsong T-coat
There was a post about it on the mdwfp site a few months ago. Cerakote is another option. More colors as well. If u get blackT you have to leave your rifle/shorty with him for 3-4m. I think the cost is pretty comprable. 150-180. There is a guy in canton named Hust I think. He post on the sept website.
No, i don't want to know you ---- teul

Re: Birdsong T-coat
I had my a-5 done in olive-black two-tone. I also have an 870 that is still at birdsong's shop that will be tan and black two -tone.
he has four colors now-
black, olive, brown, and tan.

I have had him do an Encore for me in black. Again great price product and guy all the way around. You cant go wrong with T coat.
Re: Birdsong T-coat
My benelli was done by him. everyone knows how bad they rust, and I never clean the thing and treat it like a gun. The gun won't rust. But one bit of advice, if you're going to get a shotgun done, make sure you send all your chokes with it. I didn't and my modified choke rusts into my gun every year.... Tried for an hour to get it out last night, looks like the gun smith is gonna have to take a shot at it...
Re: Birdsong T-coat
I had him do my SBE2. It took several months to get it back but he did a great job. He just has so much business right now it takes a while. I think he charges 150 plus tax for MS residents.
+1 on the chokes..he did one choke for me and that was the one in the gun when I dropped it off. Luckily it is the one that I use most of the time when I duck hunt but I wish that I had them all done.

Man that light twelve is ugly and cool all at the same time. I've been seriously considering havign my SBE done just like that. Thanks for the pics.

if you think its ugly now, you should have seen it before it got coated.

Re: Birdsong T-coat
I have several guns Teflon coated by Birdsong. The only thing you will have to remember is that any point that strikes metal to metal in any operating mechanism, the teflon will wear off. But to put it in a nutshell. A stainless gun exposed to moisture will rust, the Birdsong coated product will not.
