Been playing about 6-7 years, still not very good. Strictly acoustic, play at church some but mostly at home. Have two Tacoma dreads, a no-name handmade parlor size acoustic for pickin' on the couch, and a jBovier mandolin.

I mainly play bluegrassy stuff, but sometimes old rock stuff ( Eagles, Allmans, Marshall Tucker Band, etc.). Play bluegrass or celtic stuff and even blues on the man'lin.

Played off and on since I was 8, learned chords. Picked it up again last year playing non stop. I have a Big Baby Taylor, just got a Epiphone Dot Studio. Banjo is fun too. Really hittin' the bottlneck slide, would love to consistently play the droney hill country type blues with my slide.

Been playing about 11 years. Never been in a band but sat in a few times. I keep a flat top by the recliner and usually pick it up everyday. Usually no more than a few minutes but its a great way to wind down.

I held a guitar one time.....does that count?
.......and I've got a Delta Blues Festival and Cool Jazz Festival bumper stickers on my truck, too.
.......and I listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn....... :?

So, if being a guitar player is anything like what it takes to be a duck hunter these days.....I guess I can pick a couple o' augmented 6th chords out by 'ear'. Maybe a diminished 7th in first inversion with a raised 2nd over a V-7 in F#minor.

See....I can 'talk' the 'talk'........that oughta convince somebody I can play guitar. Maybe I can work-up a good resume' and apply for a position with the Average White Band 'old-timers' Tour.

Cut da Cake!! I can play dat.......there's only 3 chords in that one......I.....IV......V-7......I.......then it modulates to the Subdominant for 64 bars (same chord over and over).......then back to Tonic. So yes......I'm a guitar player, I suppose.
