If there was any "talent" in the bunch, why do they need billions of OUR tax dollars to maybe keep AIG alive?
I can't totally demonize AIG for paying the bonuses - if the company was handed the money and there wasn't a prohibition on that action, I can understand (though not agree with) its justification. As between AIG and its executives, there may well be some contractual liability.
But it is utterly reprehensible that our "leaders" let the money go, apparently without oversight. They are the ones at fault in this scandal.
