Re: Fireproof
I'm pretty sure that movie was made by a church and all the actors were members of the congregation. The only professional actor in the movie was Kirk Cameron. I wasn't really interested in watching the movie but went because my wife wanted to see, and I'm glad I did. It put great perspective on the importance of keeping God first and your wife second...both far and above yourself, and how easy it is to get your head stuck up your own butt and not even realize you're destroying something great.
Re: Fireproof
The scene with his dad when he is describing how can he love someone who refutes his love repeatedly was espicaially strong.
When I want to get on my wife's nerves really good I say things like "I expected more from your attempt at day #3. You better double the effort tomorrow."

The girl in that movie was Beautiful. The said that Kurt Camaron wouldn't kiss her at the end, they had to bring his wife in as a double.

Man, Segall would be an oscar winner in this movie!

Re: Fireproof
Kirk Cameron deserves an Oscar compared to Nicolas Cage in "Con Air"

Then the acting in this movie must have really stunk! Every Steven Segall movie is exactly the same. The exact same plot, the exact same lines, the exact same characters, even the exact same wardrobe.
Nobody owes you anything.
Re: Fireproof
I didn't think the acting was all that bad, especially for amateurs. If every married couples would watch this movie periodically there is no telling how many marriages could be saved.
