well dont know where to begin. we are traveling thru Minnesota on way to Iowa to stop for the nite and catch a few zzzzz's. We are going to visit cdwyer's field trial dog at Scott Dewey's. Thanks for all the kind comments. My Daisee got on a roll and took us across the finish line....all i did was just try to stay out of her way and not screw her up again. It should have been for a title if not for my inexperience at Georgia grand last spring. It has been an incredible week to say the least. Charles, Clark and myself have been shacked up in the camper for the last 7 days when not at a test site or training. We are all wore out and look forward to stepping on Mississippi soil soon. The South Dakota Grand is and was a "monster"...a quote from several pros that have run a whole lot more grands than me. Bird placement was the absolute most challenging that I have seen. Any bird at any test could have put you on the sideline watching from the gallery. And the blinds were simply Grand blinds and could put up a zero real quick!!!!! The judging was the most consistent from test to test that I have seen...which i also heard several others mention the same. the Grnd committee seemed to have ironed some kinks out put together another magnificent Grand. You got whipped in the field and not with the (two) pencil and that is the way it should be imho. That is all i got for now my time to drive...the navy seal needs his beauty sleep. All I know is that we are coming home with 3 black and whites and one big green and gold! Congrats to all that passed as well....t

Welp after crashing at a Travel America for about 5 hours we are on the road HOME. I can now say that I have visited the mid west. We have been thru a piece of Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and of course the Bad Lands of South Dakota and we will prolly catch of piece of Illinois as well. We are going to visit with Cdwyer's field trial hopeful, Diesel, here in Iowa for a few and then head south toward the homeland. This has definitely been the dog related road trip of a lifetime and will not be soon forgotten. Thanks again for all the comments.
