Snake!!
So.. when hunting early teal season how do you guys handle them Cottonheaded coppermouth rattle mocassins when the try to share your waders witcha? I have never hunted the early Teal season, this just seems like it could be an issue.

you can usually hear a cottonmouth on the water if he is perturbed - they tap the water with their tail.

I've hunted the early teal season since the early 90's, had onlyone encounter with a cottonmouth. Depending on where your hunting, they aren't that bad. Over the past few years, I've been alot more conserned about alligators. We use to not see any but now it is not ncommon to see one. I'm more conserned for my dog than me.

X2 I see an alligator just about every time I go out now.

if it's really snakey and i can't see to run like the little girl i am (when i see a snake unexpected) i wear my snake chaps over my waders-held up by a belt around the waders...looks goofy, but then again, so do i, so no one notices
