Question?

Postby torch » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:21 am

What could you plant now on a turnrow levee for cover? Need something that would grow tall enough to hide a skid blind or lay out blinds.

Tell the farmer to quit mowing it, maybe the johnson grass will get tall enough. Don't know what else to suggest this late in the year?

I can't think of anything this late that would grow high enough to help break up the outline of a skid blind other than maybe putting some triple 13 to what is already there.

as long as it stays cool that will be fine. But if we get a hot spell it will burn whatever is there up

You can come over to My place and dig up My nut grass....that crap grows about a inch a night. Heck By opening day you could weave it over the top of the blinds and be completly hidden from everything.

I planted round up corn but did not know the farmer was going to have rice. What ever they put on the rice killed my corn and with the roundup its slick as a babies butt. Ric do you think the egyptain wheat will have time? If so how much CASH?

Torch, what about cane? At least you could cut down a few truck loads and press it into the ground.

I would try corn again...
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

Try corn or just ask the farmer not to bush hog it again on the edges. We just leave the grass tall on the edges a layout hides great in there the grass just swallows the blind.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?
