I have used them- light,? Maybe just a little lighter than conventional dekes, the cool part is they don't take up much space if you are packing in a pretty good hike . With no keel they move on top of just an inch or so of water.

I used some of those blow-up dekes the last 2 years (the ones with the funky heads) and wasnt dissapointed with them..had a few of them get holes in them some how..i know they werent shot..overall, pleased..but now that they made them fancy with the molded heads, they aint that cheap anymore

I've been hunting over Carry lites and old flambaus forever and a day. The paint will chip but not as fast as everybody talks about, and the chips you get deffinitely are not going to flare a bird! I'd get the CarryLites and go with it. The GHG decoys are for the rich boys. Yes, they are a better decoy but for the price, you can replace the carry lites for years and years and still not pay what your gonna pay for the GHG's!!

Pay almost 100 a dozen for GHG, under 30 for carry lites, replace the carry lites every 5-7 years or more and it will take 15 -20 years to spend what you spent once on one dozen GHG's!!! I'll stick with the Carry Lites myself!!!

GOOD HUNTIN!!!!! Don't kill em all!! Save me a couple!!!!!

That is the price from the Carry-Lite website:

http://www.carrylitedecoys.com/catalog. ... duckdecoys

I did click on "Internet Specials" and noticed a six pack of duck decoys for $29.99.

Right now Bass Pro has their Red Head standard size mallard duck decoys on sale for $29.99 a dozen.

Cut the keel off 1/2 of your decoys.

Less weight and less bulk. Any wind will make them come alive.

Nope still the same ole crap they have always been, we used some last year (not the duck commander type) but carry lites. They just put a good name on a sh^& product. Go with the GHG they are, in my opinion , the best made better by the permenant keel.

Now THAT endorsement alone would make me change my mind if I were interested in a new product that I've never seen or tried yet.

Hell, Flambeau, Higdon, G&H, Herters, Drake, Final Approach, Carrylites, whatever (notice I didn't mention GHG).....all have different features that may appeal to folks differently because of their particular style of hunting.

I think a lot of folks think you should be able to buy one decoy that:
  • Looks sexy
  • made from all-welded aluminum
  • has epoxy paint
  • fixed and removeable keels
  • weighs as much as it's anchor
  • is bullet-proof
  • self-repairing
  • self-righting
  • has swivel heads
  • carries a lifetime warranty against any kind of abuse
  • cost $29.99 a dozen (retail, including tax)......
  • ....and a 24/7 crisis hotline and overnight delivery if the paint chips while it was sitting in your garage, doing nothing
I hate to tell you, but it ain't gonna happen. If you use a decoy......any decoy......something TERRIBLE is bound to happen to it the first time you take it out of the wrapper.

It's PLASTIC!! Anything I can be a little rough with and it still floats.......I'm tickled to death. I'm not going to have a stroke if they don't look like they did right out of the box.....at the end of the first season. They are decoys for waterfowling......not for the mantle or coffee table.

I'd definately try the Commander CarryLites before I bashed'em or the people that endorse them.

Don't forget there is a thing called decoy paint.

Decoy painting & water swatting are becoming lost arts.
Them ducks is wary. We now resume our regularly scheduled forum melee in progress.
