There will be some ducks , if it gets cold early, which it seems it will yaw oughta have a good hunt. Only prob up there is all the people that try and cram in there. I have hunted it in late season, when all the weekend warriors have had there fill and had several awesome hunts there.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

Just got off the phone with a friend at Reelfoot, he said that ducks are already starting too show up,,,,and that the water level was up for this time of year....already got water in some of the hole back in the timber that stayed dry all of last year...your hunt should be great....let me know if you need info about a guide

Who ya hunting with Hole Hunter? What guide service and what part of the lake? Reelfoot can be a pretty magical place if you time your trip right. Are yall hunting the early opener or the 2nd opener? If its the early opener, its the only place in the state that you can hunt that weekend and the first duck hunting allowed in the state for the season.

Sent you PM.

We are hunting the early opener, Nov 14th & 15th. Really looking forward to getting a jump on duck season.

Yeah, hopefully all this rain will be in our favor.

Go in with the mind set that you are going to enjoy some fellowship in a historic waterfowling area. The times I have gone the blinds, food, guides, etc. have been excellent, but there is a blind every couple hundred yards that will be occupied early season. If the birds dont commit right off , by the second swing they will be flared by one of the other blinds.

It can be done right on Reelfoot Lake. I have hunted there many a day and only shot decoying birds, with all shots being from 7-15 yards all day long! Reelfoot is a very, very neat place that everyone should hunt at least once in a lifetime. Hope ya'll have a good one HH!

We where up there this past weekend and saw some snows and a few ducks.... Saw ducks working the timber towards the south end of the lake. You can see the blinds out on the main lake. They stick out like a sore thumb! And they are huge and real close together.

Good luck!

Don't let any of that fool you duck hunt. I have hunted reelfoot and we hammered the birds. We did not do any pass shooting either, all decoying birds. The other blinds around us were getting their fair share of shooting too.
