i second this notion...he grew up with my mom since kids and he has fixed a bunch of broken bones in our family (particularly my bro and i) over the years. super guy and an awesome doc! no matter where i was in the country, i would go back to meridian to see him or i would go to another family friend/doc in houston that also grew up in meridian with my mom and dr. sonny

Yep, I was at Dr. Sonny's farm monday. I went to school with his kids and spent a lot of time at their house and in his office when I hurt my back, shoulder, etc. My dad and Dr. Sonny eat lunch together most days in the Dr's lounge and I wouldn't reccommend him if I didn't know him personally.

Can't say enough about him!

Jason Craft and Rhett Hobgood would be the guys that I would let cut on my kids. I have known them both for many years and guarantee the kind of physicians and people that they are.

Barrett did my knee fifteen years ago and did a great job as well.

I am a PT here in jackson and have rehabbed alot of Dr. Omara's knees........never had any problems out of them. He, barrett or shelton are great.......Craft at UMC is also great. Craft probably has the best bedside manners of any doctor I have ever met. Always willing to take the extra time to answer questions. No that the others arent ok, but they seem to be kind of hit and miss in that department. But as i tell alot of my patients if they cant operate then the manners dont mean crap!

Let me know if I can help you in any way....always willing to help a fellow hunter :D

Ask Tdog how my rehab is....................by the way hows that shoulder Tdog?

Exactly, you wouldn't want to go to an elbow guy for your knee. I think Dr. Shelton there with O'Mara is also good on knees.

Doc Shelton has rebuilt half my families knees, thats his thing and he is good. Although you wont catch him till after lunch in duck season

Dr Almand and Pickering are good ones. Girl I dated is an orthopedic rep for a company that works all his cases. What exactly is wrong with your knee? Is it joint problems or ligaments? She said that will narrow down who you need to see
