Yo tent kept alot of us dry Friday and that grill is gonna have to have a pressure washer taken to it before I can bring it back. I figured there was close to 50 lbs of various sausage and other goodies cooked on that thing.

I had the camera out, but set-up was so screwy I couldn't figure out a way to take a pic that would be anything but cover. couldn't even get around to get pictures of the back of the line.

I drove to the back side of it and the danged birddog kennels weren't 100yds from the line, with the flier and the left bird down in between the line and the kennels in 5' of cover. I asked both judges how they were judging marking, the one that did not have anything to do with the test set up said "I cant" the one that did set it up said on the amount of time it takes to pick them up......

Ahhhhhh BamaK9......now that brings up a-hole another question

Magnolia Hunt Test committe is at a place where many other clubs find themselves. Just a few people doing all the work. (or so I was told) So you can imangine that by the time of the event they were already spent. But to answer your question...yes and not only was it mentioned to them by the participants it was also mentioned to the AKC Rep, his response was that it was a "horriable set up".....

Truth is the only thing that the club IMO should have done is let the participants know before the closing of the entries as to who the judges were. If you dont like a judge or there is one who you know will not set up a straight foward test or you just have not had any luck passing under them they should give you the opportunity to withdraw your entry. I understand having situations arise where you have to make last minute changes to the judges. I entered the test and was looking forward to running under Ken & Tommy. After closing I found out I was not, upon making some calls I knew I had wasted my $$$$. In times like these wasting 70.00 on an entry and another 125.00 on gas and expenses adds up....

I am actually glad Nash broke on the honor. His performance was not Master level on the land test and I truely believe that it was not his fault. Had he failed for any other reason i really would have been upset. The judges had to carry him because of the circumstance of the test. They really could only judge on one mark, (he stomped it) and the Blind, which he was doing great on until someone decided to walk across the test...   Like I said bad set up all the way around. And really I cant blame him for breaking on honor, he had been allowed to run amuck for over 10 minutes totally out of sight, and he wasn't honoring just one dog, there were 50 more less than 100yds away....

Anyone who sets up an AOF for a live flier, less than 100 yds from a kennel with 40-50 bird dogs in it did not think it thru, nor did they take the time to examine the property like he should have... It was just a bad set up all the way around.

Let's just say that I ran second, and they got more than an ear full from me. (The old man judge was pretty close to booting me out of the test after I let them know how I felt about it.) They actually made a minor change, and let me and the first dog run again. Stupidest Fecking Test of the Year award..............or possibly ever. 1500 acres of property, and they setup in a piss hole. There is no way you could possibly explain the ignorance of the test, and the fecking hack job that gulfcoast got being called on a switch, when you can't see the dog to see if he switched or not..........dumb chit.........

Judging by a stopwatch, Nice! So if your dog doesnt get back in the alloted time you fail even though you cant see the dog the entire time other than 10 yards from being sent?

As redicilous as the set up was the tailgate was worth it. Nothing better than watching grea dogs with great friends.

them in the future. If someone is still uncomfortable just pm me their names. Thanks

And listening to several of us at the Sat tailgate prove we know the ENTIRE set of lyrics to "Baby Got Back." SME says that was a hunt test moment of infamy. I like BIG butts, and I cannot lie..... :D
