Great dogs, mine is HIGH strung. Mean on game, sweet with babies/kids. They can pull his ears etc. and he doesn't seem to mind. Excellent squirrel and coon dog, and used him a season retrieving ducks after my lab died and replacement lab was not old enough. If they just didn't get so cold in the water I wouldn't fool with a Lab.
