Shot size and oz

Postby Ortho Duck » Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:51 am

Excluding liquor shots, what do you guys prefer for your shot size and oz size? I shoot a SBE II and prefer tho shoot three inch shells. We have opportunities for both ducks and geese, with the majority being ducks. Length of shot varies from ten yards to forty yards. Some of my buddies prefer #4 with 1 1/4 oz. Just curious to see what you guys think. Thanks.

I like to shoot both 3" 1 3/8 oz #4 and #2. I let the situation dictate which one I shoot.

Been considering that myself, but can't find a doctor who will put me under for it. Just not sure I can handle being awake while some guy is sawin' on the goods. Did it Hurt bad?

No need to be put under, he can give you a couple of pill to take before you get there so you really wont mind whats going on. I wouldnt say it hurt but it was uncomfortable for a couple of days. feels like you got a couple of bowling balls so a jock for a few days is a must.
