Help Needed

Postby rebelducks » Sun Nov 29, 2009 4:33 pm

Our pit was recently sat in our field but was not properly back filled and anchored at the bottom. when our farmer flooded our field last week the water seeped under the pit and pushed it up as much as 30" out of the water on one side. No equipment i.e. bulldozers, tractors, etc. can make it through the flooded field to fix it Any recommendations on how to fix this or even salvage the pit for the rest of the season

a good backhoe or trackhoe driver can get out there... saw a farmer crawl his backhoe a 1/4mi with the back bucket pulling it all the way in and out... but i sure a good one will cost you.. or just drain the water and fix it right then re-pump the field..

Ditto what dey said. It CAN be done. Dem thangs will go some places that you just couldn't believe. I'd prolly just let it drain and re-pump. You got a week anyway.

Got to agree with those guys if anyone ever says they got a back hoe or track hoe stuck they didn't have a clue as to what they were doing. If you get a backhoe I will fix the thing. I operate one everyday of the week.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

what you need to do is pull it back up and weld angle 6 to 8 feet long on the ends then put 4x8 plywood decking down on that and your are set
