The MSU basketball team wasn't ranked in the pre-season Top 25. Guess who is ranked #7 now :?: Ole Myth it isn't!

State's basketball team wasn't ranked pre-season either as I recall. Didn't scUM do a big extension/raise to their baseball coach a year or so ago and then he proceeded to get swept by Miss State and kept out of the SEC Tourney? Bwwaahhhh!!

Dang, GC, did you lose a big case, or something. Or, are you just suffering from UMS (the male equilivant of PMS...Ugly Mood Swings)?

:D

Winning is good, loosing is painful. Crow while you can; your team earned it. Thing is, neither MSU nor UM can sustain winning seasons year after year. We (my Dawgs) had some good years...played for the championship, as I remember...now we are getting our chops boxed a bit. We'll cycle back soon...really, we will...I promise!

I think there are enough "talkers" on either end of this one to call it a draw in the "trash talking" category. I will always allow that a lot of UM alumni are full or crap...I dare say the feeling is mutual.

The thing I miss from some of the old days of this backyard rivalry is the underlying mutual respect that used to be there. I just don't like the general nasty tone of too many of these diatribes. That general nastiness is shared by equal nymbers of Dawgs and Rebels...though I think some of you are "more equal" than others!

By the way, I think that next year the Dawgs will kick your Rebel butts! :P

i'm just kinda tired of hearing about the "Cutcliffe Era".
I think Willie "The Satellite" Totten could do just as good of a job with what cutcliffe was handed. Anybody else???
he actually turned a No Win team into a .500 team and they'll prolly be a little better this comin season.
I'm not a MVSU fan by the way. just wanted to throw that in there.
Croom will be ok. Cutcliffe is aight. It's not an "Era" though.

See those Gamecocks on Wednesday!!!

Naw. Just responding to the trash. Someone slings trash, gets trash dumped all over them, and I get accused of being nasty...... :D

I don't hate MSU. Some of my best friends are bigwigs there. I do get tired of the subset of pinhead state fans who talk smack on here and then get the heebies when the "smack comes back."

Wonder how much money I will make on the egg bowl next year, hee hee.

I got FAT off LSU fans this year. Thank gosh for da spread!

OK,.... WHAT ARE WE TALKIN ABOUT TODAY !

Hey Mark E.,.... how's this for a new username?

Gulf "Da Rant" Coast !

Some of your posts were making me nervous ! Unfortunatly,... this is the way it will always be in Miss. !

Our resources are just spread too thin,...! It's true ! The days of dynasties are over with, and all we can hope for is some good to great years to sprinkle throughout the various seasons !

Fathom this,.... One University,.... call it what you like ...say

How about...... Miss. State Golden Rebels....

We would be there with the Nebraskas, Notre Dames, as far as recruiting goes... and would win the NC, at least every other year !

Ahhhhhhh nevermind ! :D

Rip Em !

All this bickering about in-state FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, and MENS BASKETBALL...lets take the gloves off and get really dirty... Let's argue about a REAL SPORT!

Anybody been keepin' up with the Lady Reb Basketball team?

Now that's what I'm talkin' about.

Our He-Women-Men-Haters have been dominating of late. If you guys want to watch a real sport, meet me at the Tad Pad to watch some long-legged, hairy-chested, stronger-than-I-am brutes of gals dribble for two hours straight!!! I tell you what, I really don't understand why this sport hasen't boomed into ratings competition with the NFL and College Football. There is so much action! Our recruiting class was AWESOME this past year. We got the biggest, strongest, fastest, ugliest, most deep voiced gals the U.S. had to offer. State's Lady Bulldog team has NOTHING on our POWERHOUSE of a squad. I'm tellin' ya, you don't know what your missin'...Edge of your seat Ba-bay!

Go Lady REBS!

Disclaimer: The above post is completely in jest. I, by no means, intended to discriminate, make fun of, or alienate anyone who is involved with, or is a fan of women's basketball. I also by no means enjoy the sport. The afore mentioned post is in keeping with the "My Team Is Better Than Yours" pissin' match that is continually ongoing on the MSDucks.com forum site. Please enjoy.

Why would I want to come to Oxford to watch "long-legged, hairy chested, stronger-than-I-am_women" dribble for two hours? I can do that at Waffle House right here in Atlanta!

You right about girls basketball...I spent a week one night watching a two hour game! I'd just as soon somebody poke me in the eye with a sharp stick!
