If some animals are good at hunting and others are suitable for hunting, then the Gods must clearly smile on hunting.

I call $#!+ on everyone of yall

As if you never ground checked a bird. Especially early on in you duckin days.

You mean to tell me you can call out what every bird is before it is brought back by the doggie?

Horse freakn schit

Now I don't condone wanton slaughter and the simple minded folks who don't want to learn the proper bird ID but here is a new guy who is trying to learn a little something. All of his post have been in search of some knowledge. Shoot one of everything I say and get a book and see exactly what they are and how they differ from other similar birds.

That's how JJAudubon did it and it turned out pretty damn good.

Hence the reason I was trying to help the boy out. I thought he asked an honest question and tried to help as he sounded VERY confused. I saw I could get in early as there hadn't been anyone to rip him a new one yet.

Oh and yes I can ID EVERY duck I shoot period. In fact had a surf scoter work the decoys two weeks ago and I ID'd it. Down here where I hunt we often killl 10-12 different species of ducks per hunt and if you can't ID on the wing you will break the law.
