Big Buck on the Tallahatchie
Me and some of my buddies were on the Tallahatchie(sp) this weekend duck hunting and saw a monster buck crossing the river chasing a doe. He was in the main river and the water was ripping. We pulled right up to him in the boat and followed him to the bank to watch him run off. we could have roped the SOB. It was pretty awsome. got pics with my camera phone but cant figure out how to get them on here. If any of yall deer hunt near the river close to HWY 32 there is a horse out there.
Re: Big Buck on the Tallahatchie
can you email them? email them to alectaylor1@gmail.com if you can and I will post them on here.

There are guys deer hunting on both sides of the river on both sides of the highway that I am sure apppreciate you not molesting the buck too much in your motorized boat. I bet they do not appreciate talking about where this big buck is located though.

Thanks for clearing that up smart***
The fact that he pretty much narrowed it down to the river intersecting with HWY 32 was the point. Poaching has been a problem on these lands in the past and the people who hunt/own this land would prefer people to just move along I am sure.

I just do not get it I guess. People will blast someone's post for mentioning they saw a greenhead is such and such hole on such and such day, yet someone can post up the location of a monster buck and it should be OK? Got to go both ways. I was not "jumping" on the guy for mentioning he saw a big buck in the Tallahatchie River at HWY 32, would love to see the pic myself, just giving some "helpful info" that the lands on both sides of the river there are owned/hunted by people who like to hunt big deer and who also have had problems with poaching.

Re: Big Buck on the Tallahatchie
Well i'm sure there aren't any poachers that have sense enough to be on this forum following a MONSTER BUCK crossing a river near Hwy 32 by the BIG OAK, now is there??????

Slowly changing my ways.....

From the way he was acting I am sure he is in a freezer by now any how. He had that PU$$^ on the mind and didnt give a rip that we were there. we could have filled him with steel but thats not how I roll. I sent the pic to somone who is going to post it for me on here.
Re: Big Buck on the Tallahatchie
As I stated in my email, I would hope that I would act the same way you did if I saw this deer crossing a river. I think I would let him live, but I honestly can't say what I would do until I was in the situation. I guess it would partly depend on how my duck hunt was.

There is hope! If some ole boys from mississippi did not shoot that beast with steel shot from a boat and only took pictures, that makes me feel better about people in mississippi . That took some restraint. That is a man. Good Job.
