I have 5....They are a legit band but they are not USGS bands...Frost is a private banding opereation that consist of different names like below.

1 = Black Slough Cons.
4 = Hearts Desire

Definately a tamie operation.

Looking at their website they raise ducks and then release them on private property. Most likely like the South Carolina Waterfowl Assoc. You got a tamie band. but dont feel bad. My brother took me on a hunt in North East Georgia and we killed 27 SCWA banded birds. The first couple were really exciting but then after realizing what we were shooting it wasnt that big of a deal. Until the property owner next door came to the fence line and asked us to quit shooting because we were killing the ducks he was releasing for his clients. :lol: :lol:

What did you tell him? Looks like it was his fault for not teaching them to fly in the right direction! :lol:

It was pretty cool. I was just about to run out of shells, so I did not mind leaving. They would come in two or three at a time. and they ALL worked the dekes and sat right down. Coolest part was it was the first time I had duck hunted with my little brother since high school and the first two came in and we both killed one and they were banded. I was STOKED!!!! I actually keep those two bands on my lanyard. They both have a pellet ding in them.

We killed 29 ducks that morning and only two of them were not banded.

If I'm not mistaken, I have seen pictures of said carnage on another duck hunting site. :mrgreen: Where was your little brother living at the time?

He is in Atlanta, I have never seen the pics what site was it on.

I would never be one to advocate shooting tamies to replace actual hunting but not knowing what we were getting into the first three ducks down was the Hunt of a Lifetime..... Then reality struck. :lol: :lol: :lol: One of the days I will tell you a better story about what I did with one of the bands..... :lol: :lol: :lol: I told blackduck and he about wet himself.
