I don't think you can really consider that a representative sample of people in America. Hell, there' not even 40 people in one of those groups.

surveys/polls offer very limited information...many times their language is biased and can steer the decision/answer plus people LIE

surveys/polls are mainly justification for something the originator wants to believe

Are the numbers in the middle column the # of people polled? Is this in the 000's? 315 people? Might not be an adequate sample size to draw a conclusion.

Numbers/statistics can be a very useful tool in all aspects of our lives, but only if they are interpreted correctly and a degree of accuracy is included.

some would argue communism in its purest form is a quite acceptable form of gov't

in fact, the same few might argue that our distorted democracy and deformed capitalistic economy accompanied with our current government regulations might slightly resemble communism

any thoughts?

As has already been stated these polls do not appear to be accurate. There is no way to draw conclusive result from the number of particpants sampled. For the most part I don't buy much into polls, I think that people can get a poll highlighting there particular cause, be it PETA, NRA, or anyother group out there. Just a few days before the 99' (i believe) govenatorial election, Mike Parker was shown to have a strong lead ahead of Musgrove and we see how that turned out.
