Worst Ever however I didn't go but twice. I wasted my lease money this year but sometimes you just have other priorities. The one bright spot is I took my son on his first ever duck hunt and he loved it

Deer and duck were both very unfulfilling.
Duck 2
Deer 3

Seems like everytime I turned around there was a full moon.

Bright spot is that I have plenty of shells for next year. That and my waders didn't get much wear and tear.

89 birds on the books last year. 71 on the books this year and hunted probably 10-12 less days.

I rate it a 2.

Season started out very slow for me. I've got no complaints after the ice event. Actually started doing well a few days prior to the ice. Sort of like having a 30 day season this year instead of the usual for me.

I try not to ever think in terms of negativity regarding duck season, which ended with me shooting a Greenhead and a Canada goose this year. I probably killed as many ducks this year as I did during the 95/96 season. That may have been a 3/30 or a 4/45, I can't remember. Broke a lot most equipment this year than ever, so that was a set back.

This was by far the worst duck season that I have ever endured. I started being taken duck hunting at 5, deer hunted til the season closed and duck hunted the last two weeks until I was 21. At 21, I started duck hunting only and am now 38, so the worst in many, many years. To top it all off, my crew drew one of the top blinds on the wma's in WTN on this horrible season. What a year to waste your good luck! I also had my gall bladder removed and missed the second opener, which provided the best day the blind had all season. :D Glad to be rid of that gall bladder though! I do realize that things could always be worse. I am in the market for another boat in the off season and hope to be able to get a good price on one due to the terrible season. Once that purchase is made, I will be cautiously optomistic going into next season and for once can say, I am glad this one is over.

Very slow this year for our camp. We were 250 off from last year. At least that is what is was two weeks ago. Did not hunt the last two weekends due to a death in the family. Got to work some young dogs this year and it made my season worth while. Maybe youth weekend the young ones will thump some heads. I give it a 10

I had some of the best hunts of my life this year. For that I give it a 10. For me, every year I get to spend time next to a tree with friends and family is a 10.

Worst season I have ever witnessed, ducks seemed to have some sort of grudge against trees because they were not going into them. I get to see alot of the north half of the Delta throughout the season, as well as some of the south half, ducks just were not here in numbers like one would have thought with the habitat and colder temps we saw. Only real hotspot I myself saw was a 3 square mile area around Strider Academy, a fair number of ducks stayed right there for a month. Alot of "normal" hotspots were very weak this season.
Are we gonna get wet?
