MSU Baseball is picked 5th out of 6 teams in the West...Ole Miss is picked to compete for the West title, SEC Title and make a run at the CWS...

Polk was big when nobody else cared about baseball but things have changed...MSU's dominance of MS college baseball ends in 2004...That gives the Maroons 1 sport (Hoops) and the Rebels 2 spots (Football, Baseball)...In terms of Mississippi sports fan interest, football counts for 60%, Basketball 20% and Baseball 20%...Result is 80% Rebels, 20% Maroons...I call that "ORDER IN THE UNIVERSE".

I wouldn't count MSU's baseball team out yet. They are good every year and I don't care where they are picked to finish, I bet they suprise a lot of people. The basketball team will go deep in the NCAA tournament. That loss might have been the reality check they needed we will find out Wed. night against LSU.
