Re: boat ramp
since you have a dozer and a hoe the best thing is concrete wash out which you can get at your local mixer, and a load of crush run slag.

Re: boat ramp
Get your hands on an old cotton trailer for a mold and extra support, pour concrete in it and push it off in the water after it cures. I've seen 3-4 done like this in the Delta and it works pretty good.
Re: boat ramp
Take a lot of cement to fill up a cotton trailer...and how you gonna keep it from oozing out all those holes?

Then form up the rest of your ramp from the end of that one and rock on. Need to make sure the ground is fairly level on the lake bottom before you push in the first part, though. Uneven means it could break.
Is my plan. Any suggestions on length, thickness, and do you think should use rebar or is wire sufficient reinforcement. My dozer is there and plan is to push it in. Had a trackhoe there earlier this year and thought about using eyelets on the sides and then placing it with the hoe. I assume also that it is best to not disturb the gradual slope created by the lapping waves/current prior to pushing th eformed component in. Was planning to leave some rebar at the end so that the original slab and the second pour slab would be linked and not separate over time.

Well you know we would have to get sealed bids on new cotton trailers and the cost to have them modified and shipped to the location.
