How much is the fine for shooting lead shot? Me and my neighbor were discussing it last night and I thought it was $25.00 per shell and he said it was $250.00, no matter how much you have on you. I figure neither of us are correct.

i kept telling you we were not duck hunting but squirrel hunting the fact that we had duck calls blind bags and waders should not have been used to infer that we were duck hunting

Doc, I think its somewhat discretionary. I think the judge has the ultimate decision based upon evidence from Warden and previous violations that may be on your record. I'm sure there is a min. and max penalty. You trying to decide if its worth paying the piper aren't you. Nah I'm a little curious myself

OK, So 100.00 plus another 25.00 per bird. that works out to 250 if you get your limit. Looks like I lost a 1/5 of four roses... Oh well....

Not necessarily. I believe Fed law supercedes State law if it is more stringent.

In arkieland it was always 100 bucks the first bullet, 25 for everyone after that, including hulls. Making your first box $700 and $625 a box for each addational one. For 25 bucks, nobody wudda every stopped shooting it. Heck, at 700 bucks, it was years before anyone did. travis
