Boat blind

Postby quackheadbp » Thu Jun 24, 2010 7:09 pm

I have a 14 ft jon that I want to build a blind on. Any pointers, or do any of yall have any plans or blueprints to build one? I have a pretty good idea about how to, just need to fill in the gaps.

Thanks.

What type of design are you looking to build? I built a blind last year that was unique in design but not very practical. I am going to build a simple sissor blind for my new boat. These types of blinds have been proven over the years because of their simple design and ease of use. I tried to get creative last year and it just cost me time money and frustration. Keep it simple especially on a 14footer.

check out the refuge forums, and search the boats, blinds, and gadgets forum. Lots of info and pics there.

+1 on the scissor blind. I built one two years ago for my 14ft boat and it worked great. Used a blueprint off the refuge forum. Very basic...made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit and it works great. Good luck.
