The money is to benefit shore birds too. This is money that DU would not have had otherwise. So I'm not sure why everyone is against it? The alternative is do essentially nothing.

Buy a state DU license plate. All of the revenue from license plates stays in the state. So, the extra $35 for the license plates goes to the State of Mississippi DU.
