Is it just me, or has this dump been turned into douche bag central? All these hands coming on here lately asking if you think some "said" jacket will fit good enough to hunt in? WTF....why not got and try it on? I mean this isn't victorias secret and if you need someone to tell you that the "cut" of some hunting apparel wont work well, then you are either a little light in the loafers, not competent enough to haul off in waist deep water in freezing temps, or either from Alabama(trump card). Wtf has this place become. All these, "Im starrting to duck hunt some more and want to know what is the best such and such, for so and so situation as I dont"....then dude gets defensive about not being some rookie...really? because you could have fooled me. Dont get me wrong, asking questions is great...but yall are taking it to a whole new leverl. I dont have a negative opinion on the state itself....he!! yall have some pretty woods and topography, he!! yall can kill 5 longbeards in a season....my beef with the state is people it produces. Not withholding the millions of Bammer fans after this year who look like they have never set foot in any classroom, muchless the university, but these cats who come over here thinking that its their godgiven right to hunt any way they choose even if it interfeer's with other people's hunting, is what gets my dander up. Heck they could be from any state, even the magnolia state, but I just like to pick on Alabama. Yall's people make it so easy. The truth to my Alabama hatred started out as truly that...a hate...but over time it has turned into more of a joke. There, the cats out of the bag. Some on this board, tdagget, driveby, and some others, can see the humor and dont get offended....but then there are the ones who do...and they are the ones who humor me. But I will tell you this, and I have a good friend who is from Mobile and lives and jackson, and munyoz70 on here, and farmerc83....and 97% of the time, when we see someone doing something ignorant, stupid, or comepletly wierd...I usually look around and see something that has ties to Alabama. If I 'm lying I'm dying....its to the point it's humorous. And it doesn't necessarily have to do with hunting. The other day after a rough night on the town, me, farmerc83, and said friend from mobile were up in Madison at the Renasianceeating at 5 guys burgers, and this chick in a beat up booty kia almost took us out...im talkin gone in 60 seconds whipping it around the parking lot....well low and behold she had a "Roll Tide" bumper sticker on this "Ray Ray and Boo Boo" car. Another set of guys I see at the boat ramp just about every year have this huge 19' boat and no less than 9 drake stand up decoy bags with stretch marks they are so packed full of decoys...faces looking like they have bee sniffin cow turds. Not gonna lie, I have used a little face paint before, I aint perfect and sometimes laugh at myself, but these guys look like they woke up an hour early to cake this stuff on. Also, just about every truck you see from Alabama looks like, if they had one, came rolling off the DU truck assembly line. You know the saying "it's not sterotyping if it's true"...well that is where this all comes from. Next time your over here, come by, have a drink, lets cook out(in public because these idiots dont roam around my crib) and I'll show you exactly what I am talking about.

So, yeah my post about the "Great state of Alabama" may come off as smarta$$, and may be rude...I really dont care...but if you are like me, and can laugh at your ownself, and ownkind, then you'll see the humor in it. But I have found that the majority of people from Alabama are so hardcore, that they cannot look past their badassness and have a little fun, so that is why I choose you, Alabama....the reverse cowboy state of Mississippi.

This is "said" friend from Mobile and I have to back up my boy. Some people from Alabama are hopeless. I guess I'm the typical Albanian in Vicker's eye and before I met him I didn't have any idea of the hatred felt for us. But, talking with him about some things he has seen at the dock and from the blind that some Albanians do, I have seen in Alabama.

Now, I'm not a hardcore hunter, but I've been duck hunting since about the age of 4 with my Father, and we never got in the blind 4 hours before sunrise, set out 200+ decoys, set out Robo Ducks, or sky busted with other hunters around us. But, one of my Dad's friends actually sleeps in the blind and has an army of decoys set out every morning. Hell, he only hunts in 2 spots in the Mobile Delta because he is scared of getting lost if he goes anywhere else. However, he is convinced that the way he hunts is the way everybody does or should hunt.

I have had a few guys ask me to take them hunting and looked completely surprised when I said I would pick them up at 5 am. They said they were always in the blind "set up" by 4:30. I would just laugh and ask them why. I would always get the deer in headlights look, followed by an inflated chest and some jibberish of how they don't want the ducks to see the bubbles on the water made by their boat when approaching their "spot". It was at that moment that I could not wait to get them in the blind for more entertainment.

I can't imagine that Alabama is the only state with these morons, but I do have to admit that every time I ride with Vickers we see every ruhtard Bama fan in Jackson. All I can do is smile and shake my head.

The thing I hate the most when hunting is the "jigs" that are fishing. I don't know if you guys have that here, but it never fails that I always get at least one trying to fish within 50 yards from me. They are pretty easy to get rid of though, all it takes is to rain steel on their head and they will look for a new fishing spot.

I'm from Alabama and that was stinkin' hilarious! Also very true. They do the same chit when they hunt at home unfortunately. The best is when cormorants fly over and they go to town on the goose flute trying to bring in a big 'un. We had a guy setup behind us on a lake last year right at daylight and start getting down on a wood duck call, wouldn't shut up. Well wouldn't you know it a bird flew over between the two of us and it required a three shot volley from our group in the direction of said wood duck call master. About 2 minutes later we heard the 4 wheeler leaving town. I'm not quite sure what he thought was gonna accomplish that morning but you can be sure he had the swag to act like he was as BA as he thought he was.

However, he is convinced that the way he hunts is the way everybody does or should hunt.

This is a pervasive problem everywhere I've been in the south. Maybe it's just because I'm in Alabama but it sure seems worse here. "We do it this way because that's how we've always done it" gets on my nerves worse than about anything else.
