Years ago, I seem to remember getting jumped on for giving the internet scouter a hard time - "we're here to help/give information/share knowledge/...".

My how times have changed.

The good ol' days with the white background and swimming Greenhead. Of course I was in Optometry school at the time, that's at least 10 years ago.

Of course no history lesson is complete without mentioning SPAV and Hoosier Jim.

Do a history search on theduckslayer, spoonie, Blue Room Boy and BBB, I think they are all kin to one another.

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

damn right...gator, to steal your phrase "back then the internet was truly the 'wild west'"....lots of places, and even more faces, have come and gone over the years...some have been greatly missed, and others just moved on quietly....

The site was founded in the fall of 1998. It was the product of a combination of Old Charter and insomnia while living in the SAE house at Ole Miss. I couldn't sleep due to the never ending party and one especially rowdy pledge brother and across the hall neighbor that liked to rearrange the fraternity house nightly.

Wow...it's been 12 years almost. Time flies when you're having fun.
