You can go to the mdwfp website and look around a little, and on there somewhere is a "mean average breeding date" (or something similar) for the entire state. I believe it gives a range of roughly 5-7 days when, based upon their studies the most of the does were bred. If I'm not mistaken, they actually harvest does and check the fetus status, and based upon how far along the fetus is they can determine when the doe was bred. I'm pretty certain they do this in February or March...never heard exactly, but it would stand to reason they would have to do it that late.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

The rut in Central,MS comes at different times every year Brandon. It really depends on the weather. Like last year and the year before the rut was earlier than it has been in past years. It's usually right around Christmas or a lil after. And in North MS it's always earlier than that. Take Panther Swamp for instance, the bucks there are usually running does the first weekend of rifle season. Maybe that will help you out some.

Usually it is around the second weekend of the old muzzleloader season in central MS. Usually around Dec 15 to christmas at my camp!
