That my friend IS THE DEFINITION of a HIPAA violation.....Take it from someone who is in nursing school and gets blasted with HIPAA rules every day of the week

Yeah I am a hospital administrator...the ones that fire the nurses that were drilled everyday all week...I just walked down the hall and asked our in house attorney. He said that's a pretty grey area...because it depends whether he was on duty, whether it was common knowledge, what details were revealed....basically he said that would be a tough battle.

He had a hard time following when I said, well this guy Hammer, screwed up and said something to Snot about some brothers accident where they fell out of a treestand....and now theyre all suing eachother....and oh yeah this is all on the internet. But back to the task at hand....I just wanted to point out that theres a large amount of holes in suing that EMT for a HIPAA violation.

back to the regular scheduled program sorry
Sorry man....was just calling it like I saw it and with what knowledge I have been given......but I can see how it probably would, ultimately, be tough to litigate, judging by the letter of the Act and what it is meant for, the comment or conversation in question was probably in violation, but whether or not it is arguable in court or not is probably another story......

Anyway......while we are on the subject.....got any openings in yall's SICU?? :D :D :D

I wish...SICU is popular for fresh out of school nursing students...Not to mention we are a for profit hospital so life's tough for us right now. I am also a dare I say it, OOSer.

I too am currently an OOS'er as well.....But when it comes down to it, i'm gonna need to find some sort of ICU position out of school just would rather it be a CICU or SICU rather than a MICU......I'm pretty sure I'll have the grades for it, but its looking more and more like i'll have to pull some strings in order to make it happen... :( :( :(

Can't believe there is no place for reviews or testimonials of the quality of work ole Hammer does in the good Lord's name. :o

That's a sure bet my friend! SNOT would stomp hammer's booty into the ground. I like the idea of the beer, chicks, ring and all that good stuff. We need some more people to fight though so we can actually have a show though. I'm not volunteering or anything.
