Bumpers -- What is the going rate

Postby MSDuckmen » Fri Apr 09, 2004 7:35 am

I have been going through ton's of old Dog equipment for the las couple weeks trying to get rid of or move out what ever...

I have two E-collars that I no longer want that probably need new battries and a tub full of never used bumpers of all colors.

Really don't know what they are worth and what to do with all the stuff so any suggestions on what you think they may be worth would help.

I also have a electronic bird launcher that is remote controled that was used a few dozen times in training and when I was judging hunting test.
I paid over two hundred but have no idea what they sell for today.

Any suggestions on worth would be nice before I post these things on the classified..

I know many of you boys are still into the dog seen heavy and will know what these items cost today, that's why I'm asking

Msduckmen, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but most of that stuff is probably not worth anything to anyone other than maybe a younger kid trying to train his first dog. Ecollars have come a long way in a short time so if they are over two years old you may just want to find someone who can use them and give them away too. The bird launcher may be worth some money if it is in working condition, is it the winger style or the box style? You may be able to help a younger person out by giving some of your equipment to someone in a retriever club to pass along to some highschool kid, some of your other stuff might be worth listing though.

Yeah tenn I was thingking the same thing.
The bird launcher looks new and I will keep it before I let it go for a little of nothing. It will sling a bird 15 feet straight up and is great for walk-ups.

The other stuff I have is several years old and most likely will do for a beginner. I was just trying to get an idea what the price of these things were today.

Dan,
If you want to donate one of those ecollars. I would be happy to get it out of your way.

I am one of the kids they are talking about. I have been looking for some of those bumpers you are talking about. I have a 7 month old choclate lab I am trying to train to retreive ducks. If they are the knobby kind just PM me and tell me how much you would sell them to me if you would like to.
