nice bird. where did it come from? If it wasn't an aviary bird, that is a trophy for sure (especially if killed in the US).

glad you like it fellas. it was an aviary bird a friend raised and sent to me to mount.i have seen a handful of these killed in the wild. of all places two or three were killed last year on a south alabama farm pond.i would thrown the bs flag had i not seen the pics.

hey justin, i am a sculler. chase a bunch of stuff in january every year here.nothing like a late january canvasback or redhead for sure...

although i have never done it, i have always wanted to scull....a mutual friend of ours - stephen sheppard - was all fired up about it in the spring.....i almost pulled the trigger on it, but i can't for the life of me figure out where i'm going to keep that long sucker when season isn't in.

i've heard it's deadly but is a lost art and takes a good deal of practice to master......

Is that the one Harry judged at the SR? If so I have his brother from Jeff. I've killed two in the wild in Mazatlan, see www.getducks.com, and raised 3 more. Still have a good one in the freezer if you know anyone that is interested.

it is pat and i think you have one of its brothers to be done....ive got a couple waiting til fall to put down at my buddies pen.they will be two this fall and should be nice!
