VEGAS ?

Postby tobydawg » Thu Oct 14, 2010 2:47 pm

Gonna be in vegas next week for a few days...I realize that there ain't gonna be time to see all there is to see out there, but I was wondering what some of y'all think of as the can't miss/must see things to do while out there. Goin to the PBR world finals Friday night but the rest of the agenda is pretty much wide open. Thoughts?

I really liked Gilley's. Woman's mud wrestling we saw there may have had something to do with it.

The place is fun for about 3 days, after that, it all seems the same.

Why are you peppering the steak? You don't know if tigers like pepper.

Tigers love pepper. They hate cinnamon.

Hit a Cirque de Soleil show. The two I saw were awesom KA at MGM and O at the Bellagio. I had a friend that saw Myster at Treasure Island and they said it was very good. If you go to Vegas and miss taking in a Cirque show you have missed out.

Take a ride out to RedRock, Mt.Charlston, and the damn dam... their Bass Pro is nice. The Gun Shop rents fully auto guns. The puke rides at the Space Needle, Sahara, and New York New York are fun...as well as The Nascar Experience. Tell the girls at Treasures Big Daddy said "Sup"

Catch a couple of the water shows at the Bellagio, go inside the Bellagio and check out their indoor Botanic Gardens...those fountains inside there are cool as hell. Certainly walk the strip at night, go by one of the local mom/pop gift shops along there and buy your beer there...a HELL of a lot cheaper. If you're into thrills, go ride some of the rides atop the Stratosphere. I've heard the aquarium at Mandalay Bay is cool, I've also heard that Mandalay Bay is where all the celebs tend to hang out. I did happen to run into Chris "Jesus" Ferguson there...only celeb type I saw the whole trip. Buy a day pass to the roller coaster inside the NYNY casino...only about $6 more dollars than a trip ride and it gets you unlimited rides. I've heard good things about the Nascar experience as well...they're suppose to have a cool ride there if it's the same place I'm thinking of. Eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville...the food was FANTASTIC when we ate there. (but things change)
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
