Clarksdale guys... Help needed

Postby grnheadhuntr » Thu Oct 14, 2010 6:36 pm

My wife and I are moving to Clarksdale within the next month. Her job is relocating her there and we are looking for somewhere to rent for about 6 months while we are getting accustomed to the area before we buy a house.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

+1 I wouldn't recomend anyone not of African decent take up residence in Baby Chicago. You could possibly find somethin in a country setting outside of Chicago and be ok.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

Cleveland if you can!!! The comute is only 35 minutes but well worth it.
Housing is getting cheaper by the day in Cdale because the hood is expanding!

You can also contact Cliff Heaton in Lyon. He has some nice rental property close to his headquarters and I believe its still a fairly good area to live. Let me know if I can help you out. Also you could live in Marks, Its a quiet little delta town and the tracks divide the white from black. My family has some rental property if interested, nothing to fancy though. Its a 15 minute commute from Cdale. Good luck on your move.

Forgot about Cliff. He would be a good one as well. Cliff has always been a nice guy to me.

Cliff is a great guy, i have had the pleasure of working with him off an on for the last coupla years. never realized he had rental property, but the fella is well diversified so its not suprising. his number is 662.645.6112

if moving to cleveland, call libbi logan 662.719.2368 she can hook ya up

Lyon is still a pretty good spot real close to clarksdale, but clarksdale proper is rough, even the good spots have gotten real dark

While i would love to have another taxpaying citizen and fellow hunter in this sewer, Cleveland is a nicer option. I do not know if you have children or not. Public schools in C'dale are not an option really, so please factor that in. For a young couple, Clarksdale would not be terrible. Lots of young couples around to get to know and the hunting is great. If you would like me to pm you with realtor's name I would be glad to. I know you would like to to rent, and he can help you with that until your may be ready to buy. MOST of the rental property is not in very desirable neighborhoods. You can find something if you really dig, that is why I suggest talking to my realtor friend. I would be glad to let him know you are calling and tell him not to pressure you about buying, just help out. I am 38 and lived here all my life. Let me know if you need something.
There will be a day....

Also take a look a Batesville. The commute isn't bad.

my wife commutes from senatobia to clarksdale everyday. Let the jokes come but my in-laws live off of new africa rd, but they are out by the mennonite school and have good neighbors, so no problems YET.

Rental Property owners around here don't use Realtors like everywhere else does. Libbi Logan doesn't own rental property so she wouldn't be able to help anymore than anyone else. There's about 10 people that own the majority of the rental properties around here and if you decide you need it.......I have all their names and numbers.

+1 again.

I hate to beat this dead horse again, but Deltaquack is right. Cleveland is a lot nicer. The crime is a lot lower. The schools are a lot better. The quality of life is richer. And, the commute is easier since it's 4 lane the whole way.

And this from one who grew up in Clarksvegas, and lived in Cleveland.
