both are great phones. it depends on what you will be doing with it. the desire is more user friendly and a little slimmer but it has a relatively short battery life (approx 9 hrs). the milestone has more memory and longer battery life and a slide out full keyboard but its a little more difficult to get used to. the desire is also a little bit faster and more responsive. also you can get an otterbox case for the desire that will make it almost indestructible. we have a really great phone coming out next month sometime made by samsung. its supposed to be the best of the best.

from what i've seen though, its probably 4 out of 5 people go with the desire.

HTC is a great phone. The battery life is the only drawback I have with it.
