question for wingman

we have large areas full of red top and fall panicum. legal manipulation includes driving or rolling the areas down, correct? I assume that collecting redtop seeds and dumping them in other areas is illegal? the areas that I have been knocking the grass down with the ranger have been getting lots of attention by the teal!

It is legal to manipulate natural vegetation but removing seeds and putting them somewhere else is not legal. You can disk, mow, bale, rake, harrow, burn, roll, trample or whatever, just not move it. I've recently disked strips in three of my natural ponds and it works good. Would've rather mowed them but the cracks, I mean crevasses, were wide enough to swallow my beagle, so I tried to make some hunter friendly areas while opening up LZ's for the birds.

I've had a handful of mallards hitting one of my sedge holes that was flooded back in September.
