Best off the shelf round for Encore 7MM Mag

Putting a scope on a new barrel tomorrow and wondering what you guys like through this barrel?

will prob shoot core locks or winchester power points best.. dont ask me why bc i have know idea.. just what i have seen them shoot the best

I like the Federal Blue box 150 grain Pointed soft points (But I shoot them thru a Ruger). Seems like the classic style rounds tend to pattern better most of the time.

I shoot Winchester 150 grain ballistic silvertips (in a Weatherby) and love them. Heard their accubonds shoot real well too.

I shoot a 140 grain Remington Core Lokt Ultra. Always done well with it. A little flatter at 300 than the 150 grain. I don't do much shooting past that though.

i dont know about the encore but i shoot the Hornady SST superformance 162 grain in my remington 700. The BC is awesome on this round. You may want to go with the 154 though.

I've been shooting Hornady 139 gr. BTSP.....very good groups.

I picked up some 160 gr. Hornady Heavy Mag with the Moly's in them.....but haven't shot them.

good luck w encore they shoot terrible. i had 7mm ,25 06 and 22 250 they all shot like $#!+ .. gunsmith told me they have too much head spacing and we even tried reloads. encore is terrible in rifle calibers that i have seen. maybe they have improved but i sold all mine but the 50 cal
