I used to turn apartments for a cleaning company when I was in college. The company owner also had me clean new constructions before families moved in. Then one day he had me do a few foreclosures. He worked it out with the banks to land the the jobs. I hated it because the places were absolutely horrible, even compared to college apartments. You had at least two or three truckloads of pure trash and junk that had to be pulled out of the house. The houses didn't have power turned on, so you had to use a generator. The water was usually off, too. So you had to bring your own in order to clean. We didn't make any money off the jobs when you calculate the time and expenses inputted.

I do it on occasion. Some can be really nasty and others can be gravy. I got in with a real estate agent in my area that lists foreclosures. You may try that route.

part owner in a company that does is regionally in 3 states- Got over $60,000 in receivables that companies owe us on the 90 to 120 days late. some local work may be ok, but the national preservation companies are bull $#!+. Money split too many ways and too many broken contracts
