farms for lease

Postby stevejr01 » Thu Nov 25, 2010 6:53 pm

A buddy of mine and 4 of his friends just leased 1300ac near cleveland for this duck season and was wondering how good are these farms and leases that you read about on here? Im from alabama and have had a lease in Arkansas for the past 6 years and next year im going to try to get something in mississippi and was wondering if i should try to contact land owners myself or if these guys that are trying to lease these pits/farms out on here have good properties or just what they dont want? Thanks!

at least he's honest...

if you do some research you'll find that a lot of people have been burned by not leasing directly from the owners. if i were you i would talk with the landowners and stay away from the middle man. jmo.

oh and you should never ever ever say your from alabama... get ready for the thrashin!

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
and THAT is a duck hunt.

If it were me, I would find an established club that fits me and look into that.

Not trying to be a smartass here, but why don't you just ask your friend? If he's already in a club, wouldn't he be able to give you some info about the area? If they're happy with what they have, would it be possible to talk to some neighbors, pick up a few more acres and join their club? More questions than answers, but something to think about.
