are they worth it?

thinking of getting my wife one for Christmas. Likely get the 16gb wifi only model which is currently $499.99 at Best buy. She has an iphone already, so not concerned about 3G on the ipad or the gps chip that is included on the 3G ipad.

It is a cool gadget and I have been trying to justify the purchase...but haven't yet. My friends that have it love it.

My wife hardly ever uses her laptop anymore and she's on the web on her phone mostly. The iphone screen is 3.5" and the ipad is 9.7". It has the ability to connect a keyboard to it and can connect a computer monitor or TV to it for an output. Also seen where you can connect a digital camera connection kit and dump photos from a camera to the ipad.


I looked at the Cruz Tablet which is a 7" screen and only $279, but it isn't on the android market for apps even though it runs the android software.

I did not lime it so much. unable to watch some video and some stuff on the Internet are quirky. I had the 32 gb with 3G.

I would be curious to know what everyone that likes them are doing with it? We have several of them around the office and I don't see them as very useful. I had much rather have a small laptop than the iPad to compliment my android phone.
