Taking Lessons From The Yutes!
This is my son Lake who killed his first deer (a doe) on 11/12/10 and then got another doe on 11/19/10. This Saturday we were looking for buck #1 and he got him, a 200 lb 10pt. (2nd Picture). Then yesterday which was his 9th birthday he was sitting with his grandfather and killed buck #2 a 215 lb 8pt (1st Picture). He has now informed me that there will be no reason for me to carry a gun for the remainder of the year because he is taking over trigger duties. Its funny when your 8 year old is telling you where you need to hunt according to the wind. I had to share this with you because I am one proud papa and it was awesome to be able to share these hunts with him. We were both shaking so bad on the 10 pt I thought the stand was gonna tip over. Im sure all of you who have been fortunate enough to share these memories with your kids will agree that this is what its all about.

your boy has done more this year, than I have in 10 years.
you may have to remind him that there are limits to deer, so he may not be able to pull the trigger all year.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
