Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
I had the HTC Hero and did not like it too much. However, the Galaxy S is an awesome phone with features rivaling the iPhone, plus the coverage that CS has is MUCH BETTER than the AT&T iPhone, which has lousy coverage in MS. The Galaxy S has a 4" HD screen. As someone posted above, this is the best cell phone that CS has ever offered.
As for texting, etc, the keyboard is much better than on the Hero. Really great phone!

Switched from the Iphone to the Galaxsy after having the Iphone since it came out. I love it!! You actually have conversations without dropping calls. Att has same phone but no flash on camera. Cell South phone has a flash. Cell South is by far the best carrier. I have a bear hunting operation in Northern Saskatchewaen and it is the only phone that gets a signal up there.
Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
I want to bump this and get more feed back on some Cellular South phones. My wife and I have iphones now and our contract is to expire this summer. Aint no way in Hell I will go back with this phone. I drop more calls with AT&T in one month than I did the whole 7 years I had cellular south. I mean it is embarassing to hold a conversation with someone. I rarely get to talk over 5 to 6 min. w/o a dropped call, I can look down and have all bars I mean what the hell. The phone locks up and my internet is slow as Christmas, I take that back (Slower than Christmas).

Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
I have had Cellular South since 95 and it is by far the best carrier. My wife on the other hand has always had ATT but is an Apple nerd so she has the Iphone. She hates ATT but wont give up her Iphone. So finally one of her employees came in the other day bragging about her new Galaxy saying it was better than the Iphone. So after researching it and playing with the phone for an hour or so she decided to swap. Cell South will buyout your contract from another company up to $200 and it is buy 1 phone get the 2nd phone free. So I got a Galaxy as well and we sold her Iphone on ebay. We ended up making money on the deal. Cell South plans are cheaper than ATT, unlimited calling, texting, and data plan is $130 a month for the two of us, and it is just flat out better. My wife and I love the Galaxy and she agrees that it is every bit the Iphone's equal. The internet is so much faster on the Galaxy it is not even funny. I highly recommend swapping.
Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
I know this is long the way it is formatted but I'm a rep at csouth and this is what we got in an email from our tech guys. As you can see the Samsung blows the iPhone out of the water. Another thing that I don't believe is on this is that the Samsung has a 16 gig REMOVABLE SD card so your pictures are saved if the phone crashes or quits working for any reason. The iphones memory is all built in meaning that if it crashes you lose all your pictures.

Had mine for a week...really like it. Huge step forward from the Blackberry.
Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
Had the phone for a little over a week now. Its been a big change for me after having the iphone but getting use to it, will do lots of things just seems the flow of things on the phone is not as easy to get around as the iphone. Really miss not being able to put my apps in folders. i will 2nd the battery, it sucks, but i think I have a bad one as my wife doesn't have any problem with hers. I can fully charge it and leave it on standby for 9 hours and over half battery will be gone.

Check the task manager. Mine did that initially and realized I had a bunch of things running. Battery has done fine since then.

Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
I use the he11 out of mine all day long. I'm on the web most of the day and have my real time connection to our Exchange server so my email is constantly checking all day. Get Twitter updates constantly. Play a couple of games on when I need to clear my head for a few minutes. All this to say I do all of that and my battery lasts until later in the evening. I use bluetooth all day too. So you need to go back to the store and get a new battery.

I just switched to the Galaxy S and CS last week and it has been great. Wouldn't trade mine for anything.

Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?
Re: Anyone using the Samsung Galaxy S?
I have done all that, got a black background and have turned everything off so there is no checking unless i manually do it, no widgets running, no wifi, no 3g no bluetooth. Still goes down quick, its the battery or phone cause my wife doesn't have any problem.
