Got dem Specklebellies (with some bling !)..........

Postby Alex » Sun Dec 26, 2010 9:41 am

Kris and I went on a goose hunt in South West Louisiana on Christmas Eve morning. It was incredible, geese were working perfect in the decoys and got to see alot of birds. All of our shots were birds coming right in the spread, even had alot of small canadas come in. Kris was the lucky one of the day when the 5th bird we shot was sporting a leg band.

Alex, looks like you and Chris are having a good year. Headed to Welsh Tuesday to hunt specks, wish me luck.

Man you should have a good hunt. We were hunting near Welsh and there were plenty of geese in the area. Who are you going with ?

I hunted in Thornwell one day while we were there for Christmas and did well. The geese above were from Klondike/Lake Arthur. I had nothing else to do on Christmas day, so I rode every field that I know that holds birds between Gueydan and Lake Charles. There are more geese than there was all of last year. You should do fine.
