Avery marsh seat

Postby Wingman » Sun Jan 02, 2011 11:29 pm

Anybody own one? Looking for a seat and wondered if this one would hold up or not?

Used one in Canada, The guide said he had used them for several years. I'm thinking about building some out of square tubing.

Several people in our club have them and have been well pleased; I have 2 on backorder from Cabelas.

Only potential problem that I see is that the seating area itself is not very big, but as I have a narrow butt, that is not a concern.

We've got several and have had them for at least 3 years. They hold up good and get the job done in the field.

i had one of the originals, before avery bought them out, that we had to change the wood out on after the second year (waterlogged wood pulled bolts through eventually), but it wasn't hard-should've replaced it with plastic and better padding, but didn't have the foresight to. they are a very nice item to have! tie off the clip pin with some decoy cord, the original will break when you least expect it and you won't realize it until you start wondering what that little splash was...then figure it out when you get to the hole and attempt to set up your seat.....stick works as a temp fix :D

My dad uses them all the time. I can't sit still enough to use one, though they do work very well. I actually did use one Saturday morning after a loooong night at the casino after New Years and 1.5 hrs of sleep before hunting. I needed that seat.

I like mine. No complaints

Dumb question: What is a folding bar stool? I have a marsh seat, and it is like sitting on a rock for me (sciatica).
