The 3rd annual charity hunt for “A Hunt Above” is scheduled for Feb.19, 2011. For you who have not been on a charity hunt let me explain. This is an event for ALL hunters big and small (a family event). This is a squirrel hunt with dogs, but non-dog owners are welcome. This year we are excited to announce a “South” hunt as well. You should arrive at which ever location you want to go to before daylight (a time will be announced for each location). People will be divided into groups upon arrival of location. We will match folks without dogs to folks with dogs. The only prize is bragging rights, but it’s a chance to help “A Hunt Above” and the kids we take. We will be raffling off a shotgun with details to follow. There will be some door prizes as well. The food will be BBQ at all places. We ask for $20 a person which includes your BBQ lunch. Again this is a fund raiser for us so all donations will be accepted.
The hunt locations are as follows and directions to be announced later:
North Hunt—Grenada area
Central Hunt—Onward area (Delta National Forest)
South Hunt—McNair, MS (Jefferson County)
All we ask is for you to RSVP with number of people coming to which location. This will be posted on several forums so please only sign up once.
This charity hunt has grown every year from one location the 1st year to now 3 locations for this year.
