Ashland Kennel in W. Georgia?
Ashland Kennel in W. Georgia?
Anyone have any experience with them? Their pedigrees look great and their pups seems like great dogs from the reviews just wondering if anyone had a pup from here or had hunted over them? Thanks
Re: Ashland Kennel in W. Georgia?
look like she picks some pretty good studs, QAA, derby points....
I didn't see any titles on the females, though.
don't know her kennel, but I like to see titles on both parents.

Re: Ashland Kennel in W. Georgia?
Ashley has been in the dog business for a long time now. I live in Ga and have a good many friends that have bought pups from her. I would not hesitate to say the dogs I have seen that have come from her are very trainable and would make excellent hunt test or hunting dogs. I have not seen her in a couple of years, but I used to see her a lot on the hunt test circuit. I would think as many pups as she sells and for the length of time she has been doing this, she is as reputable as they come.
By the way, one of my buddy's has a litter of reasonably priced choco's on the ground if anyone is interested. No titles, just bad booty hunting dogs. PM me if interested.
Thanks,
Todd

Re: Ashland Kennel in W. Georgia?
I have known her since the late 90's. She bred some of her females to my Stud dog and to his offspring when they became titled as well.
I am not aware of anyone complaining about pups from my Stud Dog at all.
She services and breeds pups from field trial and hunt test ancestors. As is true with many breeders, she does not title her brood matrons, its simply not cost justified at the price point she sells most of them at.
You should educate yourself on health clearances and know what you are buying. Look at what the sire and dam have and make your buying decision on your ability to tolerate risk.
Ask her about an upcoming litter to SRS GRHRCH Big Black Dude MH if you are looking for a well bred litter.
She does scrutinize the stud dogs closely to make sure they meet her requirements-that is to provide the customer with a working retriever gundog that is capable of performing in most levels of retriever gundog events as well as a solid hunting companion and house pet.
